Lexuma director, Kelvin Ip, is invited to participate in the 3rd World Intelligence Congress in Tianjin.
It's Lexuma's honour to be invited by 天津市委統戰部 (Tianjin government officials) to join the 3rd World Intelligence Congress in Tianjin last week. Our director, Kelvin Ip (葉嘉俊), was one of the members of the Hong Kong Information Technology Delegation. The members of the delegation came from different areas such as the founder of the startup companies, the executives of the Venture Capital Fund, University professors, and many others. We joined the opening ceremony of the 3rd World Intelligence Congress, and participated in various meetings during the trip. The exhibitions and forums gave us a valuable opportunity to know more about the development of AI technology in China.

During the trip, the delegation was invited to visit the Tianjin World Financial Center, Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city, Airbus A320 Series Aircraft Assembly Line, National Supercomputing Center, Tianjin Seagull center in Tianjin. We had a chance to discuss with the local well-known companies, and exchanged ideas on smart-city implementation.

On the other hand, we also had in-depth discussions with the government departments such as the 天津市委統戰部 (the ministry of organizing external events and other related projects), Ministry of Information Technology of Tianjin, Ministry of Science and Technology of Tianjin, Tianjin Government Office, etc. During the meetings, we brainstormed on how to enhance cooperation between Hong Kong and Tianjin in technology areas. Furthermore, the government officer shared the policy enhancement done by the Tianjin government in business operating environment.

With the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, there are definitely more business cooperation between Hong Kong and China. The development of Tianjin in AI technology attracted many high-tech enterprises set up their business in Tianjin. This trip gave Lexuma an opportunity to explore great business development potential in this area.
